Flip the Flag
As the controversy over Minnesota’s state flag continues to grow and as a number of communities are going back to the traditional state flag, have you stopped to consider that this is another physical manifestation of a deeper spiritual issue?
The narrative told by the far left regarding the state flag is a lie.
Forget for a moment that the new state flag is very similar to the flags of Somalia, a 100% Islamic nation. Forget for a moment that the Islamic system is completely antithetical to the Constitution of the United States. Forget for a moment that we are fighting an Islamic takeover of Minnesota and, indeed, the United States. We’ll return to this geopolitical travesty, aka war, at another time.
The proponents of the new flag created a narrative about our traditional flag that is not true. They want us to believe (in no particular order) that our traditional flag:
- Shows a white settler as a representation of Manifest Destiny resulting in stealing the land that belonged to Native Americans.
- Represents the lengths white settlers would go to kill the Native Americans and steal their land because the settler has a rifle behind him leaning on the stump.
- The Native Americans did not have the firepower to stop the white settlers so they were forced to flee West, which is represented by the running horse racing in the direction of the setting sun.
- The setting sun also represents the end of the era of the Native American nations as they are killed, displaced and disregarded.
There are many other symbols in the flag, but let’s rest here because these are the main points of the narrative pushed by the left which led to forming a leftist commission and changing the flag without public approval.
This whole story is a lie. It is fabricated, made up.
So, what is the truth?
There is another interpretation.
What if the real symbolism in the flag told this story:
- White settlers and Native Americans were not at odds with each other but actually respected each other as demonstrated by the Native American peacefully crossing the land the settler was farming.
- The Native American warrior was not riding off into the setting sun, nor was he threatening the settler. He is not carrying his spear in a threatening fashion. He is looking into the settler’s eyes with respect and a demonstration of living in peace with his white brother.
- The white settler in plowing his ground to demonstrate the agricultural nature of this new land. His axe is handy as a working tool. The rifle is necessary for
hunting meat. By the way, in the seal of my official traditional flag, there is no rifle at all furthering the argument that the two cultures could live in a respectful peace with each other. The white settler was living in respectful peace with his Native American brother.
- The sun is not setting. It is rising as the dawn of a new day of peaceful expansion and the bringing of the gospel to the people of the land as a fulfillment of the Covenant of Dedication prayed by the Rev. Robert Hunt at Cape Henry in 1607.
What if this narrative was true?
There are no official narratives regarding the state seals or the state flag.
The fact is, neither narrative is the true, official narrative. Yes, that’s right. There is no official interpretation of the narrative told by the many different state seals that have been used in the Minnesota state flag since becoming a state in 1858. Instead, the God-hating, American-hating left had to create a narrative to further polarize and divide the American people around their current strategy, namely, racism. But, what if we could make the second scenario a reality instead of complicitly buying into the leftist lie?
The left has clearly exposed themselves, not as classic liberals, but as Democratic Socialists. And this is where I return to my opening question, have you stopped to consider that this is another physical manifestation of a deeper spiritual issue?
- Socialism as a political ideology is unbiblical. While some argue for a so-called Christian Communism-Marxism-Socialism based on Acts, chapter 2, this is not the cause of the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America). Read their platform here https://platform.dsausa.org/. There is nothing democratic about the beliefs or operations of the DSA. There is also nothing biblical about them.
- There is also nothing biblical about the left and its agenda. Even though there are websites touting religious faith (https://www.dsausa.org/blog/what-religious-socialists-bring-to-our-table/), the heart of socialism in all forms perverts biblical truth and ignores their father figure, Karl Marx, who stated that his two main objectives in life was to dethrone God and destroy capitalism.
Whether or not you like the traditional Minnesota state flag, or prefer the new one, it is time to understand the behind-the-scenes spiritual battle taking place in the debate. Is it time for a new Minnesota flag? Maybe, maybe not. But, it is time to “Flip the Flag” back to our true historical roots. It is time to “Flip the Flag” and interpret it as the rise of a new day where multiple cultures can live under the banner of the Bible and the Constitution of the United States which flows from it.
Here’s an idea: Flip the Flag on Flag Day
June 14 is Flag Day in America. Let’s make it the day that every community in Minnesota flips the flag together. Let’s return to our roots.
Flip the Flag on Flag Day. For more information, go to www.fliptheflag.com. Quit allowing the left to control the narrative.
Flip the Flag.
God bless you. God bless Minnesota. God bless the United States of America.
